Love Under A Gypsy Moon
“Love Under A Gypsy Moon” is our tribute to the Gypsy Culture. The Gypsy era began primarily in Romania and Hungary many centuries ago . Since the Gypsies were a nomadic people they slowly spread across Western Europe. Gypsies were known for their zest for life , their captivating beauty and romantic nature and for their unique Music and Dancing. Most experts credit the Gypsies with inventing Spanish Flamenco Dancing and some say they had a strong influence on Belly Dancing as well. To this day there are annual celebrations of the Gypsy Culture in virtually all European Countries. The Nomadic adventurous spirit of the Gypsy is alive and well in all of us as we get into our S.U.V.’s , Motor Homes and R.V.’s and hit the road seeking new places to visit and new experiences . The Gypsy celebration of Music and Dance is also deeply ingrained in all of us. What is less well known about Gypsies is that they were healers of the Body and the Spirit. They studied Nature and had the knowledge of many natural remedies to cure minor maladies and in some cases major diseases. Since they also had an excellent understanding of Human Psychology they were also very good at dealing with depression.
